San Mai Petty
A large-sized petty (or a small chef-style knife) made of handforged san-mai. The laminate consists of 80CrV2 core with mild steel cladding. Although the mild steel looks similar to more refined wrought iron as it was a part of an old barn hinge (possibly over 60 years old). Handle was made of American Walnut wood with a touch of brass and black g10. On one of the pictures it can be seen that there was a hole after a knot on the spine part of the handle. This has been sealed with epoxy. The knife is equipped with Teak wood saya to keep the blade safe from any damage.
